Intellicom Announces Partnership with UNK, Kearney Catholic, & Kearney High

Intellicom is proud to announce our new partnership with the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) as an official IT sponsor of UNK Athletics. This collaboration represents more than just technology, it’s about community, connection, and supporting the organizations that make Central Nebraska a great place to live and work.

Our relationship with UNK extends well beyond athletics. Intellicom has a long tradition of engaging with students, faculty, and campus leaders to help shape the future of technology education. Our employees regularly visit campus to speak with students about careers in IT, and UNK interns gain hands-on experience working alongside our team each year. We’ve also partnered with university leaders on accreditation and curriculum development, ensuring that the next generation of graduates is prepared for real-world opportunities in technology and business.

As part of this partnership, you’ll see Intellicom featured on the big screens at UNK athletic events, cheering on the Lopers as they compete throughout the season. We’re excited to stand alongside UNK in fostering local pride, teamwork, and excellence both on and off the field.

In addition to our new partnership with UNK, Intellicom is continuing our sponsorships of Kearney Catholic High School and Kearney High School. Supporting these schools allows us to invest in students, athletes, and future leaders right here in our community. Whether it’s the classroom, the field, or a local event, we’re honored to help create opportunities that make a lasting impact.

Our involvement doesn’t stop with sponsorships. The Intellicom team is deeply rooted in the Kearney community. You’ll find us participating in the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Kearney, Buffalo County Economic Development Council, and volunteering in various local initiatives. Many of our team members also give their time as youth baseball coaches, mentors, and community leaders, continuing our tradition of giving back and helping Kearney thrive.

At Intellicom, we’ve always believed that local support drives collective success. Partnering with organizations that share that same community spirit reinforces our mission to not only provide leading technology solutions but to strengthen the foundation of the place we proudly call home.

Sheldon Completes Cisco Technical Training

Intellicom is proud to share that Scott Sheldon recently completed Cisco’s Webex technical training. The sessions included hands-on labs focused on installing and supporting Cisco Webex Calling, as well as configuring and utilizing Cisco AI features within Webex. This training enhances Scott’s expertise in delivering advanced communication and collaboration solutions for Intellicom’s clients.

Meet the Staff

Corey Moen | Hardware Technician

For Corey, everything in life is a puzzle waiting to be solved.  And Corey loves the new.  He and his wife have settled in Kearney after a 15+ year background in customer service and healthcare that has taken him from South Dakota to Iowa, New Jersey, and Louisiana.  Prior to that, he lived in Minnesota and Wisconsin – so it’s no wonder he finds enjoyment in travel, and also in trying new foods. 

His educational background includes majoring in Applied Computer Science and Information Technology, and aside from his scholarly and professional endeavors he enjoys most being outside – be it relaxing in a hammock with his two kids, mowing the lawn, grilling/smoking, kayaking, fishing, or playing disc golf.  Indoors, he especially enjoys watching the Green Bay Packers win, although he prefers being at Lambeau Stadium in person – and has been there for a few playoff games.  His kids have even been on the season ticket wait list since the day after they were born!

Intellicom Closed November 13th from 12:00-5:30pm

We'd like to remind our customers that Intellicom will be closed Thursday, November 13th from 12:00 to 5:30pm for our annual training and retreat. If you have a non-critical issue that afternoon, send an email to support@intellicominc.com and it will be prioritized and addressed on Friday.

If you have a critical issue, call our main number (308) 237-0684 and follow the instructions. We will be monitoring the phones, and engineers will be available to step out of the training event to work any critical matters. Time spent by our team that afternoon on any such issues will be billed at the normal rate and not at the on-call rate.

We appreciate your understanding as we continue to develop, motivate, and celebrate our team’s expertise and care for you, our customer. Training events such as this are an important factor in our success and in the level of service we provide to you today and in the future.
