Technical Dispatcher/Support Services

For over 25 years, Intellicom has been providing IT services to businesses across Nebraska and beyond, and we continue to expand! Intellicom provides an environment where you can learn and grow and do what you do best every single day.

The successful applicant’s job duties will include providing prompt and professional customer service to our customers. This entry-level position will be responsible for creating tickets in our software program for all inbound phone and email service requests. Employee will process customer request, ascertain urgency, gain additional information if necessary, and assign the ticket to the appropriate member of our technical team. Generally, this includes, answering support calls via phone, responding to emails, and working in our ticketing system. Other entry-level technical tasks may be assigned around shipping and receiving, inventory control, and performing server and workstation health checks.

Advancement opportunities exist within our Network Operations Center (NOC) and Engineering teams, where we provide remote network support as well as remote and on-site server and desktop support.

An Associate’s degree (in progress or completed) in a technology field, and one or more years of experience in a customer service role is preferred. Ability and desire to attain some level of helpdesk or customer service certification within the first year would be preferred. Candidates with a suitable combination of education/experience will be considered. Successful applicants must be passionate about customer service, committed to lifelong learning, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Intellicom, in conjunction with the University of Nebraska at Kearney, has developed a strong and comprehensive internship program designed to complement the excellent curriculum offered by the quality technology programs at UNK with hands-on experience.

Through well-designed job descriptions, our interns gain exposure to real customers using the latest software and hardware technologies in nearly every kind of business imaginable. Each position is worth up to 3 credit hours towards their college education and is completed after 120 hours on the job.
